Meet instructor Carlos Valdez! He will be teaching cultural arts courses at ArtWorks beginning with Cultura Folclorico: Eye of God, a votive spiritual object made by weaving yarn and wood. The Huichol call this ‘sikuli’ which means “the power to see and understand things unknown”. Not only is Carlos an artist but he is a bridge between cultures.
