Melissa Wadsworth is the new Director of Artworks effective March 1, 2025. Melissa has been active in the Edmonds arts community for the last decade – taking art classes, joining Artists Connect, and participating in the Cole Gallery Plein Air Paint Out! Event, and the Gallery North Small Works Show. After several years of volunteering for the Edmonds Arts Festival, she joined the Board of Directors. Melissa paints oil landscapes based on the inspiring environments of the Northwest. She is an also a member of Plein Air Washington Artists.
Prior to her life as an artist, Melissa wrote non-fiction books (The Small Talk Handbook, and Collective Manifestation: Heart-Centered Blueprints for Creating Intentional Community) and was a public relations professional and business owner.

It is not just a building where art happens. For me personally, I’ve always seen it as a portal to the greater community, where I can learn, play, and connect in a meaningful way. ”
