Open Studio Descriptions

Open Studios are just $8 per person/per session. 

Open studios operate as scheduled unless interrupted by a special class or event. Please consult the calendar to verify their availability. (I edited this for clarification)

Open Studio Benefits:

• A spacious place to paint quietly by yourself
• Easily befriending other artists
• Requesting input or suggestions on your artwork
• Exchanging techniques with co-creatives
• You can bring your lunch and share in conversation
• You’ll have access to materials you may not have at home

All-Artists Open Studio: MONDAY, 10:00 am – 3:00 pm
Start the week with creative play and practice. Many of our artists create specific pieces based on a show they want to enter. Other artist show up to try something new or to refine their skills. You set the focus and we provide friendly support.

Painters Open Studio: THURSDAYS, 10:00 am – 3:00 pm 
We invite you to join other oil, acrylic, and pastel painters to paint! You’ll have room to spread out and paint in the company of other artists. It’s a great way to establish a regular painting practice, and to stay committed. Artworks has easels, tables, still life materials, tea, coffee, a full kitchen, and sinks in every room. Our LED lighting provides shadow-less light to ease eye strain and mean you are seeing true color. It’s the perfect place to create art, especially on dark winter days. We just ask that you clean up after yourself and leave things as you found them. 

All-Mediums, All-Crafts Open Studio: FRIDAYS, 10:00 am – 3:00 pm
Come on it the art is fine! Bring your inspired energy, your new ideas, your creative friends, spread out your materials and have a play day. 

Our Friday Open Studios provide the opportunity to bring your creative projects and work without interruption among other creatives. There’s always plenty of space and warmth in the ArtWorks studio. Use our easels, tables, and chairs. Avail yourself of our coffee and tea. We even have an etching press. You’ll find the other artists good natured and happy to share their art knowledge and resources.
