Discover the unique qualities of lettering with a flexible tool. Using a few basic strokes, students will create patterns and designs to loosen up, then will create a playful “Roman” script and other alphabets. You will learn about tools, inks & papers.
Unique projects will show off your new skills.
Bring to Class:
- Oblique pen holder
- Pointed nibs (ex. Brause EF66, or Nikko G, or Leonard Principle, or your favorite)
- Inks – Walnut, or McCaffery, or Moon Palace Sumi, Gouache
- 6-well mixing palette & mixing brush, water containe
- Pencil, eraser, ruler, scissors
- 1/8″ squares graph paper
