Watercolor Workshops

Inspiration from the Masters: Ed Whitney
Sat. - Sun, Nov. 8-9, 2008
ArtWorks, Edmonds, WA

Caroline has had the good fortune to have studied with some of the most important watercolor teachers of the 20th century. She frequently cites their inspiration in her classes. In this year's Edmond's classes she will be sharing the gift of their teaching starting with Edgar Whitney in the November session.

Inspiration from the Masters - 4 weekends, Jan - April, 2009
January 17 - 18;    February 21 - 22;   March 21 - 22;  April 18 - 19
ArtWorks, Edmonds, WA

This is the fifth year of a winter weekend series at the ArtWorks in Edmonds. Each year we have explored an area of watercolor -- such as color or design -- in depth. And each year there has been a supportive atmosphere in which significant growth has taken place. Our focus for the coming season will be the lessons of the master teacher with whom it was Caroline's good fortune to study: Rex Brandt, Millard Sheets, Christopher Schink, Robert Woods, Don Andrews and others. Each has made significant contributions to the development of watercolor as the American medium. In understanding the differences and the common themes of these important teachers, you will broaden your understanding of watercolor and perhaps come closer to defining your unique relationship to the medium.
